Serving Communities Across New Mexico
APTF is working toward a statewide network that can support girls, teams, families, coaches, educators, and community partners throughout New Mexico. We want to build responsible local partnerships in every region we can reach while also using remote education, mentoring, and professional support to serve communities separated by distance.

Ways to Give Your Time and Expertise
Board Service
Help guide APTF’s mission, governance, fundraising, financial stewardship, community partnerships, and long-term growth. We welcome people with experience in education, youth development, nonprofit leadership, business, finance, law, healthcare, communications, and community service.
Program and Professional Support
The Assault Fastpitch website will serve as the primary home for recruiting team coaches and managers. Through APTF, we welcome strength and conditioning professionals, speed and agility specialists, hitting coaches, pitching coaches, position and skills coaches, athletic trainers, educators, tutors, social workers, counselors, mentors, healthcare professionals, and other youth-development specialists who can strengthen programs throughout New Mexico.

Professional and Community Partners
Businesses, educators, healthcare professionals, college recruiters, civic organizations, sponsors, and in-kind donors can contribute expertise, resources, services, equipment, and opportunities for our participants.
APTF Youth Development and Wellness Network
APTF is building a statewide network of qualified professionals who can support the whole development of each participant—education, health, emotional wellness, confidence, athletic performance, leadership, and preparation for the future.
- Licensed clinical social workers, counselors, psychologists, and youth-development professionals
- Registered nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, healthcare professionals, and nutrition educators
- Mindfulness, stress-management, resilience, and wellness instructors
- Teachers, tutors, academic coordinators, mentors, and college or career advisors
- Hitting, pitching, catching, position, strength and conditioning, speed and agility, and player-development specialists
Professionals may participate as volunteers, pro bono service providers, community partners, paid contractors, or future employees depending on the role, funding, program needs, and the actual working relationship. Unpaid professional services receive a service acknowledgment rather than a Form 1099. Paid roles are documented and reported according to applicable employment and contractor rules.
Anyone working directly with youth may be required to complete identity, credential and license verification, references, background screening, youth-protection training, confidentiality requirements, and role-specific insurance or onboarding. Clinical and healthcare services must remain within the professional’s lawful scope of practice and APTF’s approved program structure.
Future Paid Opportunities
APTF is working toward a sustainable staffing model that can support paid professionals as funding and programs grow. Future roles may include:
- Executive Director and organizational leadership
- Office or Operations Manager
- Accountant, bookkeeper, or financial administration support
- Teacher, academic coordinator, or education specialist
- Professional coaches, strength and conditioning professionals, speed and agility specialists, hitting coaches, pitching coaches, trainers, and player-development specialists
- Other program and administrative positions needed to advance the mission
These are organizational goals and are not current job vacancies. Paid positions will be established only as funding, program needs, board approval, and responsible budget capacity allow. When openings become available, APTF will publish the responsibilities, qualifications, compensation, and application process.
