Who We Are
Our Story
A Positive Trajectory Foundation (APTF) was founded in 2019 on one simple belief: every young person deserves the opportunity to build a positive trajectory for their future. After decades of coaching, mentoring, and serving New Mexico youth, we saw firsthand how athletics, education, and caring mentors can change lives. We created APTF to bring those three elements together into one mission.
Today, APTF empowers girls ages 8–18 through competitive athletics, academic excellence, mentorship, and leadership development. Our flagship program, Assault Fastpitch, teaches far more than softball—it develops discipline, resilience, teamwork, accountability, confidence, and life skills that prepare young people for success in school, careers, and life.
As we continue to grow, APTF is expanding opportunities for youth and families throughout New Mexico by building partnerships, connecting communities, and creating pathways that empower the next generation.
More Than a Game. A Foundation for Life.
At A Positive Trajectory Foundation, we believe the true purpose of youth sports reaches far beyond scores, trophies, and championships. We compete to win—but our greatest measure of success is the strong, capable, and self-sufficient young women our athletes become.
We do not protect them from every fall—we teach them how to rise. Through challenges, setbacks, failure, and adversity, they develop resilience, accountability, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and leadership.
These are social and life lessons that build human capital—the character, knowledge, relationships, and abilities young women carry into the classroom, college, their careers, their families, and their communities. Every difficult situation becomes an opportunity to learn, grow, and create powerful, successful outcomes.
We are not just building teams. We are building futures.
